Inquiry Contract Proposal

Why homosexuals deserve to get married all throughout the US

This is a very controversial topic, which give very great reason to know more information concerning why people believe that homosexual people deserve marriage rights and why some believe they do not deserve marriage rights.

Our Declaration of Independents states "all men are created equally." Yet in some parts of our country don't give homosexuals the right to marry, thus not going along with one of our country's historical documents.

People opposed to allowing it go with what is said inside the Bible's book of Leviticus. It saying that man is not to lay with man as he would lay with woman. This is mostly what people believe is the reason why homosexuals should not marry.

Are there anywhere reasons why people seem not to agree with same-sex marriage?
Why is it that our country doesn't allow homosexuals to marry legally throughout our country?

Book Bucket List

1. Bag of Bones by Stephen King
After watching the thrilling two part miniseries, titled the same as the book, I was intrigued by the plot of an author who takes of to Maine to ease his writers block but becomes visited by the spirit of a 30’s blues singer. The front cover of the book shows that this novel was #1 New York Times Bestseller, so I believe that this book would be a very good read.

2. The Firm by John Grisham
This is the second novel written by John Grisham, and it was the one that got him recognized. I’m curious by the front cover of this novel, having a business man attached to strings like a marionette doll, and its relevance to the plot. This novel was a #1 New York Times Bestseller.

3. The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Bedder
This book is a must read for me because I want to see how Bedder alters Luis Carroll’s story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in his own vision. I also want to read this book because I enjoyed the original work by Carroll. The front cover leads me in as well with the creepy warrior type figures that stand on it.

4. The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series by Heather Brewer
I’m attracted this series because I have an interest in vampires. I want to see how it is that this author portrays the life of a teen aged vampire going through the struggles of school and trying to keep his identity hidden. Also having one million copies in print means that this book series is very popular.

5. Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling
I’ve only watched a few of the Harry Potter movies before, and I think it’s about time I read the series about the boy who lived. I want to experience the spellbinding saga first hand. The New York Times called the final book in this series the fastest selling book in history.

6. White Fang by Jack London
This classic novel about a half dog, half wolf trying to survive the life of an animal wanting to be owned by a loving and caring master seems to be a very interesting story. This classic novel has been adapted into a motion picture, which had a sequel to it.

7. Identical by Ellen Hopkins
This book seems to be interesting by the differences the twins Kaeleigh and Raeanne have and how they are affected by what their father has done. I find the last sentence on the books blurb pulling me deep into it with it saying “How Kaeleigh and Raeanne figure out just what it means to be whole again when their entire world has been torn to shreads is the guts and heart of this powerful, disturbing, and utterly remarkable book.” I want to know what is this thing is that makes the two girls feel whole again.

8. White Crow by Marcus Sedgwick
From reading the first chapter of this book I am very pulled in by the author writing style, and his choice of the protagonist. I am interested to find out how the plot is to progress from this first chapter. This book was on YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults 2012.

9. The Crucible by Arthur Miller
This classic play is based upon the real events about what had happened during the Salem witch trials. This play has had two film adaptations. There are many great reviews on Amazon.com saying such things as “Miller raises several powerful and important questions about human life.” This play seems to have vast popularity and would be a good choice for something I need to read.

10. The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare
This series of books seems interesting by the way the author writes in the first chapter. There are reviews on Amazon.com that say “this series is a fun, exciting read and that Clare created an interesting and unique world.” I want to read more of this book to find out what is the relation to the tattoo covered body of the guy on the cover.

Titanic

I was a rich man, first class on luxury liner the Titanic. On the early morning of April 15 the "unsinkable" ship hit an iceberg head on. Everything I had ever thought in my life meant nothing now, my initial plan was to get on a lifeboat. My mind was changed when I realized that I was not a kind person as I should have been. I now know my fate is set. I assist many women and children onto a lifeboat, I stay on the Titanic. I walk past the rushing people anxious to get a lifeboat, I find my room. I know soon the ship will submerge completely into the freezing water, I wait for my death to come. I think of how the Captain is mostly to blame, but I find the heart to forgive him. I will go with a kind deed of helping the few women and children, before I was bitter and always seeking riches as the Captain. I know not to blame him or anyone else for this sinking beauty. I can not blame them for the same mistakes I have done in my youth. I die with the ship, knowing that my end was to be.

What a Picture can do.

Near the end of Wiesenthal's autobiography, The Sunflower, he talks about when he had went to the house of the mother of the dead SS Solider, Karl. While there Wiesenthal describes how he "looked at the eyes that he never seen" belonging to Karl in the photo on the wall(Wiesenthal, 86). As this obviously refers to the fact that Wiesenthal never saw Karl's eyes, it has a more in depth meaning. Karl had just got in the Hitlers Youth, and was not yet tainted by their 'brain-washing's', so Wiesenthal saw the man who was not a murderer. It was as if he saw a different man then the one who begged for his forgiveness. He saw a photo of a young man who was soon to be corrupted by the war. By seeing Karl's eyes Wiesenthal understood that he could not ruin the the image that Karl's mother has about her son by telling her about the terrible things her son had done to the hundreds of Jews in the house. Wiesenthal came more into thought about if he should have forgiven the SS Solider for the massacre of his own people.

The Boundaries of Forgiveness

"For over 20 years, a warlord kidnaps children, forcing them to be soldiers or sex slaves."

This warlord should never be forgiven for the horrific acts that he had done. He doesn't deserve the forgiveness of the people, sex slavery is against the crime of solicitation of minors. He should have been tried for this crime several years ago. His crime should have caused him to be put to death. Nobody should be forgiven for this malicious act.
